A recount of a one-year term on the Board of Selectmen yielded virtually the same results on Friday night.
Fred March remained the top vote-getter with 361 votes to former selectmen Peter Rhoades' 292 votes and Bob Kroepel's 36 votes.
There was only a one-vote difference in March and Rhoades' vote counts from the election earlier this month, with March's total going down and Rhoades' up.

She's only 18, but Sarah Jarosz possesses a very old soul.
She may not have set out to prove it with this set, but that's exactly what she did, with songs from Patty Griffith, Bob Dylan, Shel Silverstein, Tom Waits, and the Decemberists, performed in a style that's almost a century old.
The Wimberley native has shown tremendous growth in confidence since the release of last year's debut, Song Up in Her Head (Sugar Hill).

If we're talking about something like soul music, we have to look at all of these other events that actually helped to derive what it is that we hear -Bob Davis

As the House Rules Committee labored to set the formal terms of the debate, the dispute over the abortion provisions was shaping up as a bitter stand-off between the abortion opponents, led by Representative Bart Stupak of Michigan, and lawmakers who favor abortion rights, led by Representative Diana DeGette of Colorado.
At the center was Nancy Pelosi , the first woman to serve as House speaker, who is a champion of abortion rights.

Rubbing shoulders and learning from some of the sharpest Realtors and techies around was not only fun but very beneficial.
There were some familiar faces, including Marlow Harris, a top producing Realtor and one of Seattle's top bloggers, Bob Stewart of Active Rain fame, Glenn Sanford, a long time player in real estate and technology and founder of eXp Realty, and many others.
But here's what I reflected on and find so fascinating.

Voters at their annual town meeting Saturday agreed to pay selectmen $6,000 more than last year.
Resident Bob Bender asked that the amount for selectmen be reduced to what they were paid last year, $11,000.
